Our Story
Hey there! I’m Clara Moss, the gardener behind Greenmuse.
I didn’t start out as a gardening expert. Truth be told, my first succulent died within two weeks — overwatered, under-sunlighted, and very much unloved in the wrong way. That failure stuck with me, and it pushed me to actually learn what plants need instead of guessing.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve turned my home and garden into a living laboratory. I’ve killed plants (yes, many), rescued neglected ones, propagated hundreds, and learned the hard way that every plant has its own personality. From stubborn cacti that bloom when you least expect it to fussy calatheas that drama-queen their way through every season — I’ve been there.
Why Greenmuse Exists
When I first started looking for plant care advice online, I found two things:

Perfect Instagram gardens that made me feel like I was doing everything wrongGreenmuse is the site I wished I had when I started. No perfection, no gatekeeping — just honest, practical guidance from someone who’s actually gotten dirt under their fingernails.

Every guide on Greenmuse follows three rules:
Tested by me first. I don't write about anything I haven't personally tried. If a tip comes from another source, I'll tell you.
Written for real homes. Not everyone has a greenhouse. I focus on what works in apartments, small yards, and ordinary living spaces.
Updated when needed. Plants don't change, but our understanding of them does. I revisit and update guides when I learn something new.Get in Touch
